Auditions are now open for Nebraska Repertory Theatre’s production of Love and Information by Caryl Churchill, directed by David Long.

Love and Information is a fast-moving, inventive exploration of how we connect, communicate, and make sense of one another in a world overflowing with information. Told through a kaleidoscope of short scenes, the play moves between the intimate and the absurd, the funny and the deeply human, examining love, memory, technology, knowledge, and the countless ways we seek connection.
The production will be cast as a flexible-size ensemble, with actors playing multiple roles throughout the piece. Casting of all roles and tracks is open to performers of all identities. Churchill intentionally leaves characters largely undefined, allowing each production to create its own constellation of people, relationships, and encounters.
Audition Preparation
Director David Long would like each auditioner to prepare a contemporary monologue, 60–90 seconds in length, for the initial audition. NO ACCENTS, please.
Following the initial call, selected auditioners will be invited to callbacks. Callback material from the script will be provided at that time.
All auditioners are strongly encouraged to read the play in advance and familiarize themselves with its structure, language, and theatrical world. Because of the unique structure of Love and Information, knowing the play beforehand will be particularly helpful as you prepare for both the initial audition and callbacks.
Initial Auditions: Monday, October 5, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Please use the link provided below to schedule an audition appointment AND complete the audition form. Auditions will be held in Temple Building, Room 301, unless we let you know otherwise.
Callbacks: Tuesday, October 6, beginning at 6:00 p.m., by invitation. Those invited to callbacks will receive an email with a scheduled time. Callbacks will be held in Temple Building, Room 301, unless we let you know otherwise.
